Bowland Irish Draught Horses was established in 1992, with a brood mare by “Irelands Pride” – Grand-sire: “King of Diamonds”.

Barracaberry OrbitSince then we have concentrated on breeding Irish Draughts' of traditional type and Irish Draught X for competing. Always breeding for temperament, soundness and conformation.

We have used chilled and frozen semen for many years and can take your mares to be inseminated with the stallion of your choice. 

We also have five stallions at stud including:-

  • Alice's Diamond Slipper RID Sport Horse Graded (GB)
  • Barracaberry Orbit RID,
  • Bowland Blackjack - Irish Draught (Wetherbys) 
  • Longdean Westminster Sport Horse Graded (GB) BWBS Graded.
  • Tobias Corbett RID

All available for natural service or chilled semen, having excellent results in 2008.
